#AluminiumPeople: Yunus Öztürk, Contital Türkiye Shift Leader

At just 24 years old, Yunus has already carved out a remarkable professional path within Contital Türkiye, where he moved from the printing department to a position as Shift Leader in the Quality department. In this interview, he opens the doors to his world, telling us not only about his professional growth but also about his personal passions – from Ottoman history to precious moments spent with family – painting the portrait of a young professional who combines career ambition with deep family roots.
To begin with, tell us a little about yourself. What is your current role within the company?
My name is Yunus Öztürk. I was born in 2001, so I’m 24 years old. Contital is my first work experience, and I rose very quickly in my job, I love this place. I started as a worker in the Press department and then I switched to the Quality department. After working here for 2 years, I was promoted again and now I am working as a Shift Supervisor.
What drives you the most in your work and what do you enjoy?
I love the atmosphere in production, I love being in contact with people, I love the liveliness of production, I think I would not be so happy in an office environment.
What are your expectations in Contital Türkiye?
I want to improve myself more and more. I expect to be supported with trainings from my company. My future goals for my experience, which I have reinforced by working in different departments, are to reach better positions in my career. As Contital Turkey grows, I want to be a part of this team for many years.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Friendly, success-oriented, hardworking.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Watch movies, play games. I like to follow my mails from my workplace I am a workaholic! I love to spend time with my family: family is one of the most important parts of my life for me. I spend most of the time I have left from work with my family, that is also a source of motivation for my work. Spending my earnings with them makes me happier, so my family and my work bring me a source of happiness in direct proportion.
What is your favorite book/movie/series and why?
I love adventure movies like “Journey to the Center of the Earth”. I love watching Turkish TV series, especially Ottoman history. When I watch Ottoman movies, I can’t help but think about what it would be like to live in ancient times. I have a fascination with historical characters. Whenever a new historical series comes out, I want to watch it immediately. One of my biggest dreams is to see the successful life journey of historical characters in my own life. When I think about whether I will be a historical character in the future, sometimes it seems funny, but one cannot live without dreaming.
If you were to go back to the beginning of your career, what advice would you give from the past?
I’m happy where I am now, but I’d like to be a teacher because I love children. I would also like to say that the reason for my happiness in my current job is that I have goals, I believe in myself, and since I foresee that I could be successful, I wish my future self look back at his past and, looking at my current situation, to be proud. Sometimes you don’t know things until you live them, and as life gives you experience, you should be grateful for your current position and career.
