Laminazione Sottile achieves ASI Chain of Custody Standard V2 certification

Laminazione Sottile has taken a further important step in its commitment to a more responsible and transparent aluminium supply chain by achieving the ASI Chain of Custody Standard V2 (2022) certification issued by the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI). The certification, valid from 20 May 2026 to 19 May 2029, covers the entire Group, including Laminazione Sottile S.p.A., Italcoat S.r.l. and IPS Industrial Packaging Solution S.r.l..
This important achievement demonstrates the Group’s ability to ensure the traceability of aluminium throughout the value chain, guaranteeing that production processes comply with internationally recognised standards for responsible sourcing and sustainability. The certification complements the Group’s existing ASI Performance Standard certification, further strengthening its commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles.
Chain of Custody
The ASI Chain of Custody Standard creates a verified link between responsible production practices and the aluminium products supplied to customers, providing greater transparency across the supply chain. The standard also includes due diligence requirements covering key areas such as responsible sourcing, human rights and supply chain risk management.
The certification covers the manufacturing of semi-finished aluminium coils and sheets at Laminazione Sottile, coil coating operations at Italcoat and coating and printing activities at IPS Industrial Packaging Solution. These operations serve strategic sectors including food packaging, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical applications, where quality, traceability and product reliability are essential requirements.
With this latest achievement, Laminazione Sottile reaffirms its commitment to promoting a sustainable and circular aluminium value chain, creating long-term value for customers, stakeholders and future generations through responsible production and continuous improvement.
