Carmine Bruno Rea confirmed as President of CIAL
Laminazione Sottile is pleased to announce that Carmine Bruno Rea, Group Commercial Director of the Group, has been reconfirmed as President of CIAL (National Consortium of Aluminium Packaging).
This re-election represents not only an important personal recognition for Dr. Rea, but also a significant signal for our Group. His presence at the helm of the Consortium testifies to the growing centrality of Laminazione Sottile in the national panorama of the circular economy and strengthens our active role in defining strategies and policies oriented towards the sustainability of aluminium packaging.
CIAL is the national consortium that coordinates and promotes the separate collection, recycling and recovery of aluminium packaging throughout Italy. Through agreements with municipalities, awareness campaigns and collaborations with companies and operators in the sector, the Consortium contributes to one of the most advanced systems in Europe for the sustainable management of this material. In 2024, in Italy, 62.400 tons of aluminium packaging have been recycled, with a 68,2% recycling rate. Considering the beverage cans alone, the recycling rate is 86,3%, and there is a +7% in the quantity of cans concretely recycled compared to 2023.
